Amish-style Blank Faces
Our dolls are designed with Amish-style blank faces, because we feel that placing a fixed face or expression on a doll limits the relationship between the doll and her companion/owner. With a simple, open face, the doll and her owner begin each day anew, deciding whether the Lady of WisherWood is happy, or sad, or curious, or...? The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
Simplicity and Opulence
The artist has juxtaposed the lovely simplicity of an Amish-style doll with luscious (sometimes vintage) fabrics, ribbons, yarns, and semi-precious stones and crystals. The result is a pleasing counter balance of simplicity and ornateness. Each doll is adorned with jewelry made of semi-precious stones and Austrian crystal beads. Each doll carries a natural crystal in her magical purse.
Careful Finishing
We take extraordinary care with every detail of our dolls' body, hair, and attire. Each doll is a work of art and is crafted entirely by hand (no machine-stitching is utilized). Hems are hand stitched and seams are finished, with no loose threads or ravelly seam edges. You can be certain that your doll will be truly a one-of-a-kind, work of art made by a doll maker who wants you to love your doll as much as she does.
